When the light of my life dims…

I will be thinking about you.  I met you during the fall of 2008.  By early summer the next year we were a family.  Knowing you and loving you has kept me going for all these years.  Remembering you will warm my heart from now on.  Thank you for allowing me to know you and to grow with you.  Thank you for sticking by me in tough times, and for giving time to become a better friend and a better pastor.  

I’ll never forget our shaky start. Some people said I was “a bad fit” for Olive Grove.  In my experience, even new shoes and new cars need breaking in.  Once you broke me in, I felt like a better fit.  I hope you will agree.  Now comes the time for me to make room for more growth.  I had dreams for things that might happen in my time.  Some things happened, and some did not.  Nevertheless, farewell beloved.  I pray all the best for you.  When the light of my life dims, I will be thinking of you.
