- On July 16, 2023 during the Women’s Day service, Olive Grove Baptist Church continued the tradition of honoring one particular woman as the “Woman of the Year”. Ten nominees were received. The following criteria was used to make our selection:
- Must be a female member of Olive Grove Baptist Church
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must demonstrate leadership, dedication while participating in her church and community.
- Must be known for mentorship and inspiration of others.
- Must display a willingness to assist others in their walk with Christ.
- Must demonstrate a willingness to give of her time and resources to the church.
This years winner is none other than Reverend Gladys Bell who was recognized with flowers, gifts, and a plaque which reads:

Our Chairman Deacon presented the plaque with comments concerning her loving service.
- In her role as the leader of the Pastoral Care Ministry, Gladys tirelessly reaches out to the body when sick, grieving or celebrating life events.
- In her role as the Coordinator of the Grief Ministry known as “Embracing Tomorrow Today” Gladys teaches, counsels and encourages those who have suffered loss.
- Gladys has been regularly serving as Worship Leader during this time between pastors.
- She is a Cancer Survivor who continues to strive for the fullness of life.
